WHILE I DO BLAME our political establishment up to a point, I have come to believe THIS MUCH is true. THEY DID NOT GET INTO ELECTED OFFICE via armed insurrection. They were ELECTED,
VOTED IN.
VOTED IN by a plethora of ignorant, misguided, disengaged, uninformed, unresearched,
nutty fruitloop, unguided or wrongly so, mostly unsophisticated and mostly RURAL and MOSTLY SOUTHERN & WESTERN ideologically and hate and fear-driven nutjobs. AND THAT is an understatement. THIS IS NOT what my ancestors fought to protect and defend. FREE SPEECH does NOT entitle one to be FREE BUT BRAIN-DEAD in the voting booth.
Ok, maybe it does, but...
One of my ancestors, Brig Gen John Stark, led the two final and decisive battles of the American Revolutionary War. One leading the Green Mountain Boys with Seth Warner and Ethan Allen. The LAST one alongside Gen. George Washington. That put an END to British thoughts of conquest. HE and the others fought so that WE could reap the benefits of a free country they and their ancestors had come here to create and to avoid the tyranny and oppression they had come here to avoid and it is that they had fled from mostly at the hands of the Brits in places like my native Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and elsewhere.
YET, here today we have the SAME kind of tyranny and oppression trying to rear its ugly head once more.
HERE. HERE. HERE IN THE UNITED STATES, HERE. LAND OF THE FREE & HOME OF THE WAL-MARTS? I THINK NOT.
Go figure.
Like bratty children raised in affluence by parents who had worked to achieve it. The parents KNOW what lack is in many cases...THE KIDS DO NOT. The WALTON CHILDREN do NOT. The Koch Bros DO NOT, and it shows. SO if these greedy assholes have never known poverty or true lack, they now have NO clue or experience with its destructive effects. it's EASY to dismiss what YOU are clueless about.
Sad to say, but if the Kochs, the Waltons, Art Pope, the titans of Wall Street and industry and their ilk had EVER known real lack, they would hopefully be far more sensitive to those who are still enduring it. OR they have just decided that now they have wealth, FUCK everyone else.
So, since they do NOT have that frame of reference, they see the poor only as a blemish on the face of America. A stain on the fabric of this country, and trash that needs to be removed and landfilled,
THEY KNOW NOTHING of true reality or life out here that so many of us do since they have never experienced it first hand. If they ever had to, I fear the shock would kill them.
A chance I am willing to take to awaken them.
TRUST ME ON THAT ONE.
WE HOLD THE PURSESTRINGS TO AMERICAN CORPORATE LIFE, and if we don't wake up and start to exercise it will be to late. It will be gone. AND SO WILL BE AMERICA AS THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH. EVER.
See, these blasphemers of liberty and equality and justice for all, DO NOT WANT that anymore. THEY WANT AN AMERICA THEY CAN MANIPULATE TO THEIR WILL, and BY THE GOD OF THE CASH DRAWER, they are succeeding so far. Ronald Reagan really ushered in this CORPORATE STATES OF AMERICA. The Pubs since are merely capitalizing on a lethargic, lazy, disengaged, and increasingly disinterested apathetic and imagination free population. GOD HELP US ALL.
